WELCOME TO SERENITY OF X!

First and foremost this website is an image archive for the television series "The X-Files" (1993-2002). What I love most about "The X-Files" series is the unconventional relationships and characters not always so popular among the X-Phile masses. Yes, I have Mulder and Scully on here, but I will also include characters like Jeffrey Spender, Gibson Praise, Michael Kritschgau, Scott Blevins, Bonita Charne-Sayre, John Doggett, Knowle Rohrer, Shannon McMahon, Gene Crane, Monica Reyes, Brad Follmer, Darius Michaud, Melissa Riedell, etc., etc.

I'm editing the beginning of this update to add a link to an online petition for those of us who want to see a third "The X-Files" movie. Check out this petition and sign it, let your voice be heard that you want and will pay to see a third movie!

Has it really been nearly three weeks since "I Want To Believe" opened in the U.S.? Already the movie is leaving theatres and I've only seen it four times. I was hoping for at least five viewings of the movie while it was in theatres but the way it is disappearing is crazy! The movie hasn't done poorly though, it's made back its budget and hopefully has done well enough for FOX to give them the "go ahead" for a third movie (with Doggett please). So if you want to see another "The X-Files" movie I'm guessing you best go see the movie as much as you can in the next week or so. I, for one, would really like to see a third movie that brings about the conclusion of "The X-Files" alien mythology/conspiracy. If "I Want To Believe" catered to the Mulder/Scully 'shippers, then if a third movie gets made please, pretty please, let it cater to the mythology geeks, put that on display and as the focal point of the movie, not the MSR. Thank you.

For those of you wanting to keep track of how IWTB is doing at the box office, check out this site. As of right now IWTB has made $51,150,553 worldwide. I've seen fans talk about how making $60 million would be good for our chances for a third movie so keep on Philing into the theatres and bring your friends and family with you. We can do this. We can help get a third X-Files movie made by supporting it. Wait to see those other movies until X-Files is out of the theatres. That's what I'm doing :)

Ok so... that being said I do have some updates today. First off I want to say "thank you" to MiZuNo for permission to archive her scans (which she cleaned up to look better) of the UK X-Files Pamphlet. These are awesome scans and graphic layout. I wish something like this could be available in the USA.

I also have a large promo picture of the image of Mulder and Scully used in the U.K. version of the IWTB poster. I haven't been able to find where one can purchase this particular poster so if anyone out there knows drop me a line and point me in the direction of the website URL where this can be bought. I'm also wanting to know where to get the poster with Mulder and Scully walking in the snow with guns in their hands... I really want that one too.

Within the next week or so (I say "or so" because the 2008 Beijing Olympics are going on and I spent my free time watching the Olympics rather than spending time on my computer) I will be adding my final review of "I Want To Believe" to this site. I wrote a review based on my first viewing of the movie the day after it was released and you can read that here. I do have to say that after multiple viewings I enjoy the movie much more than the first time and my final review will reflect that.

So the day is upon us... happy viewing and I just wanted to alert you to Frank Spotnitz's new blog post. It put a smile on my face to know that he's acknowledged all the fans, the ones who praise and the ones who didn't, etc. I think this is the best blog post that he's put up on his site.

I THANK YOU

With the movie opening domestically in just a few hours, I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the many fans who have taken the time to share their stories, thoughts, and concerns with me this year.

We were given the opportunity to make a second “X-Files” feature film because of the incredible work that so many fine actors, writers, directors and crews did on the TV series over the years. But it's just as true that this movie wouldn’t and couldn’t have been made without you, the smart, funny, discriminating, romantic, opinionated, diverse, imaginative, compassionate, exasperating, exasperated and – most of all! -- incredibly loyal fans of “The X-Files.” Your love and hate, praise and scorn, affection and disgust have sustained Mulder and Scully (and us!) all these years. It's your passion that breathed life back into these characters.

Of course, there are many stories we could’ve told (and many others we would still like to tell). But for now we could only tell one, a story that came from our hearts. For that opportunity, I thank you now, and always.

And thank you Frank for keeping the fans informed and taking the time out of your busy schedule to interact with the fans of every persuasion. Here's to hoping XF2 does well enough to get a greenlight for XF3 (with Doggett of course)!
