Am I selfish for wanting him to stay? Was I wrong to become desperate and say that I 
wished I never loved him? I didn't mean what I said. I said those words in the hope that 
he would stay and argue with me, stay with me until I won the argument and he'd choose 
me over the Marine Corps.

The aliens are coming, there's no stopping it. People will die. Marines will die. John may 
die. If he does, he'll do so with my hateful words repeating in his head.

If he dies he'll know I'll always love him when he's on the other side, but I may never 
know or feel his forgiveness for the words I said.

I won't forgive myself if something happens and I never see him again.
