Title: Yes! "Jacquie Sabatier" Rating: I guess M Summary: Scully surprises Doggett by coming back from a trip early…but Doggett has a surprise of his own. Feedback: Always appreciated. Disclaimer: Don't own anything. Doggett sighed as he walked into his empty house. Scully had been away at a medical conference for the last week and a half, but it felt like a year. He walked over to the fridge for a beer. A not was attached to the door. He read it. At the end of the rainbow you'll find your treasure. "What the hell does that mean?" Doggett scratched his head, annoyed. He was just about to settle down in front of the TV when the phone rang. "Is this John Doggett?" a woman's voice inquired. "Yeah...who is this?" Doggett's hand rested on the beer bottle cap. "This is Josie at the Rainbow Hotel." Doggett's eyes darted over to the pamphlet on his kitchen table, then to the note. At the end of the rainbow… "Mr. Doggett, are you there?" Doggett blinked. "I'm still here." "We have a package for you," Josie continued. "Package," Doggett repeated, clearly confused. "A special delivery package you have to sign for, sir," Josie went on. Doggett was starting to get annoyed, even as he curtly agreed to be there "with the proper identification". With a sigh, he put his beer back in the fridge as he muttered to himself "This better be some package." Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx A half hour later, he arrived and strode up to the front desk. "I'm John Doggett. You have something for me?" "Agent Doggett…" a voice came from his right. He turned to see the Lone Gunmen. "Gentlemen." Doggett couldn't help arching an eyebrow. "He's with us," Frohike told the desk clerk. They ushered him to a near by elevator. They let him off on the third floor. Doggett could swear he heard Langley humming the wedding march as the elevator doors closed. His annoyance was forgotten when he saw the half-open door. Through it he could see the flickering candles. His breath caught. Then he started to grin. There was Scully in a strapless dress that clung to her curves. "Hey, Handsome." "Dana…" He swept her up in his arms, kissing her until she was breathless. When Scully was set down on her feet again, she teased "I have to dress like this more often." "You'd get that even is you were wearing a garbage bag," Doggett whispered. "Garbage bag, huh?" Scully reached up to caress his face. "Anything, actually." Scully coyly slid one strap down her shoulder. "How about nothing at all?" she whispered, making Doggett's body shiver. She led him to the foot of the bed where she slid back a little, inviting him to join her. "I missed you so much…" Scully cat stretched lazily as Doggett kissed her back. She giggled. "You know that tickles." That only made Doggett kiss her more. He worked his way up to her neck. Scully moaned and turned over, bringing his mouth to hers. Doggett cupped her face as he deepened the kiss. Scully nestled into his chest again, sighing contentedly. She grimaced, making Doggett retracted his hand in alarm. "No, baby, it's not you," Scully reassured him. She rubbed her thighs. "Just developed a cramp." Doggett kissed her and turned her over. He gently began to rub her right thigh. "That any better?" "It is…but I'm wondering if a bath would help." Doggett pushed off the covers and put his leg over the side of the bed. The moment he was out of bed, he had the urge to scramble back into bed with Scully. He felt so cold all of a sudden. Cold and empty. Doggett didn't see Scully get out of bed behind him. In fact, he didn't know she was there until he caught her reflection in the bathroom mirror. He turned around, unable to hide his grin. "I'm here," Scully said softly. Doggett had to pull her against him again to relieve the cold. He closed his eyes. "John?" Scully questioned softly. Doggett kissed the top of Scully's head. "How hot do you put it?" he asked as he started the faucet. "Warm but not scorching," Scully's arms wrapped around him again. She leaned her head against his back. "How's that?" Doggett stuck her hand in the bath water. "Perfect." Her blue eyes looked back at him. "But it would be even better if you were in the tub." Doggett eyed the bathtub doubtfully. "It's big enough," Scully reassured him. "Or maybe you have to shrink some more," Doggett teased. Scully stuck her tongue out at him. Doggett growled and attacked her. They both landed in the tub, Scully on top. "Baby, you okay?" Scully instinctively began kissing his smarting skin. "Only bruising my ego," Doggett reassured her as he straightened his leg. "You sure?" Scully started to lift herself out of the tub to examine his leg. Doggett only held her a little tighter against him. "I promise. I'm fine," Doggett whispered in her ear. "Just let me be with you." Scully kissed his lips before carefully turning herself around so she was between his legs. Doggett took up the washcloth to start with the skin he had immediate access tol He reached around her to wash down the front of her legs. Scully moaned in appreciation. They stayed in the tub, just holding each other until the water started to lose its heat. Not to mention, Doggett's stomache was beginning to tie in knots. He knew he wanted to propose, but would proposing over dinner be a better idea? "John, you with me?" Scully's voice broke through his thoughts. He smiled at her. "I was just thinking dinner would be a good idea." "Dinner, huh?" Scully traced unknown patterns on Doggett's chest. "I was thinking of ordering in." He looked down at her. "Unless of course you want to go out in public." Scully grinned at him. "Would you hold it against me if I didn't?" "Well, that all depends," Doggett teased. He kissed her hair. "On what?" Scully raised an eyebrow at him. "On whether I can still have you for dessert." It was out of his mouth before he could stop himself. "I'm sure we can arrange something," Scully said demurely. She nibbled lightly on Doggett's earlobe. She whispered, "Or I could have you for dessert." Doggett groaned at the thought. Scully kissed his lips one more time before going in search of the room service menu. Doggett appreciatively watched the sway of her body as she moved around the room. Scully caught him watching her. She smirked at him. "Enjoying the view, Agent Doggett?" "More than I can possibly express in words," Doggett's grin grew wider as he realized there was a patch of creamy skin peeking out from her terry bathrobe. "So what are you in the mood for?" "What we got?" Doggett smothered his smirk with his hand. "Everything from burgers to steak." "Steak sounds good to me." Doggett peered over Scully's shoulder. "Actually that steak and mashed potatoes with creamed corn." "And I think I'm gonna go with Angel hair pasta and Caesar salad." Scully placed their order, adding in a request for champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries. "I thought you were having me for dessert," Doggett pretended to pout. Scully laughed softly as she kissed his chin. "Don't worry, baby. When it comes to you, I'm a bottomless pit." "Promise?" Doggett whispered, bringing his lips just inches away form hers. "Cross my heart," Scully gently nibbled on Doggett's bottom lip. He moaned. Doggett decided he didn't want to wait any longer. He knelt in front of Scully. "Marry me…" Scully's eyes filled with tears of love and happiness. She whispered, "Yes…"
