Eight months ago as news of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan earlier this year broke, our hearts went out to the people of Japan, and "Fox & Rat" Virtual Series joined forces with X-files fansites around the world to create X-Philes for Japan--a fandom with a cause!

XPFJ is now teaming up with cast and crew members of The X-files, JCIE/USA’s Japan NGO Earthquake Relief and Recovery Fund, and other X-files fansites, in a worldwide fundraising effort that will bring together X-philes from around the world in a fun way for a very good cause!

Now is your chance to own one of 12* one-of-kind paper cranes, hand-signed in person by cast and crew members of The X-files! (See list below) Starting this Friday, November 11, 2011, X-Philes for Japan will host a series of unique Ebay Auctions just in time for Christmas! The auctions will end a date we can all remember: 11/21/11, and all proceeds will go to the Japan NGO Earthquake Relief and Recovery Fund.  For more information, or to donate to the cause, check out our official website HERE and follow us on Facebook to get a sneak peek at the cranes you can win!

So, who's signed and why Paper Cranes?

In the Japanese culture, the Paper Crane symbolizes honor and loyalty, good luck, peace, happiness and hope. Today the practice of folding 1,000 cranes represents healing and hope during hard times, and legend has it that a person who folds 1,000 paper cranes will be granted his or her greatest wish. 

This Christmas, you'll be granting wishes for Japan's recovery with your donations, and getting something pretty cool yourself!  Here's the list of people who signed cranes that will be up for auction:

X-Philes for Japan
The X-files fandom has always been a worldwide family, brought together by our love for our favorite TV show. But being an X-phile is so much more than that. We don't just care about Mulder, Scully, and alien conspiracies, we care about EACH OTHER.

As news of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan last Friday still comes rolling in, our hearts go out to the people of Japan, and now the phile community is rallying together to help in any way we can!

Things are still coming together at this point, but be sure we will have more news very soon.

It's taken us years, but FINALLY, Fox & Alex Build A Website has been re-vamped! Not only does the site have a new design, but also some new content, including "Dear Diary" sections on both Mulder and Krycek's pages! Plus, Krycek has some new celebrity crushes. Check out the new site, and leave a note on the tag board with your thoughts!

Fox & Alex Build A Website (aka: FAABAW) is the website that started it all back in September 1999. It hosted the first stories of FRVS and is written as if Mulder and Krycek made the site themselves. Enjoy!

In celebration of the 11th year FRVS has been online, we have written a brand spankin' (ooh baby!) new episode that is the first in a predicted handful (or two) of short stories beginning with "Fox & Alex and...". These stories are silly, have no continuity or chronological order to the main FRVS series. But they are "part of it", like, I don't know... missing episodes.

Eleven years today, we thought it would be a wonderful idea to dive into the wild and wacky world of making Mulder and Krycek goofballs and make a series out of it! We never anticipated how it all turned out! So, happy 11th birthday, FRVS!

frvs special edition - beta reader needed

BETA READER NEEDED
We are preparing to tackle re-working the FRVS series (new stories, added scenes to episodes, prequel season, etc.) and are looking to add a beta reader(s) to our FRVS Special Edition staff.

The ideal person(s) we are looking for is someone who is good on spelling, great on grammar, willing to dedicate time to helping us out with FRVS SE, and punctual in delivering comprehensive betas of our episodes.

We aren't sure when we will officially begin work on the Special Edition of FRVS, but it will probably be within the next year.
