"Naturally
the guest cast in The X-Files creates the conflict
of the story. If it were just Mulder and Scully, there
wouldn't be any story. For example, something like
Star Trek, in its various arrangements, can exist
just on its own cast because the danger, the encroaching
danger, can be something unseen. It can be something
unknown or an interpersonal conflict. But obviously
in this situation with two regulars... there's not
terribly much conflict that can be generated. So of
course it has to rely on the bringing in of outside
characters." - Vincent

led to the capture of a notorious murderer. He was on
a fast track in the FBI when he took a detour into the
paranormal. Convinced through hypnotic regression that
his sister Samantha was abducted by some unknown power
when they were children, he became obsessed with discovering
the truths hidden in the X-files, a repository for cases
of the extraordinary, the unexplained and the supernatural.
